NYSC Swearing-In Ceremony Dress Code
The swearing-in ceremony typically takes place on the third day of camp. For this occasion, the dress code is 6/7, meaning you are expected to wear six out of the seven complete NYSC uniform items, which are:
- NYSC Cap: Wear the NYSC cap as part of the official attire.
- NYSC Crested Vest: Put on the NYSC crested vest.
- NYSC Belt: Wear the NYSC belt to complete the ensemble.
- NYSC Khaki Trousers: Put on the khaki trousers provided.
- NYSC Socks: Wear the designated NYSC socks.
- Jungle Boots: Don a pair of jungle boots as part of the uniform.
- Khaki Shirt (not needed): Although the khaki shirt is listed as the seventh item, it is not required for the swearing-in ceremony.

Opt for 6/7 dress code, including a white T-shirt, khaki trousers or skirt, and a pair of jungle boots. You can also wear your NYSC cap and jacket during colder months.
- Passing Out of Camp Day (POP): For the significant milestone of POP, wear your complete NYSC kit, which consists of a white shirt, white shorts or trousers, white socks, white sneakers, and other necessary accessories.
- Place of Primary Assignment (PPA): Dress appropriately for your workplace, usually in formal or business attire. Avoid revealing or tight-fitting clothing and pay attention to grooming.
- SAED Programme: There is no specific dress code for the Skill Acquisitions and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED) program. However, it’s a good idea to carry your NYSC identity card and wear the NYSC cap for identification purposes.
